Yesterday in Ankara State Minister Kürşad Tüzmen briefed the press regarding the process and said the initiation of the practice is necessary to ensure a sustainable increase in exports and to stay current with the modern era in trade procedures.
“With this project, exporting procedures will become much easier and export transactions can be tracked without time or location limitations.” he said.
During last year alone, 4,968 transactions under the plan were approved and licences provided. The export total of this kind was valued at $33.7 billion, which represents 53.7 percent of total exports last year.
Tüzmen added that firms interested in using the procedure would have to get an a-signature certificate from the Turkish Telecommunication Authority.
